PU, silicone and rubber covered rollers each suit different working conditions. The correct choice should be based on the contact material, operating temperature, required grip, wear level and budget.
PU is often selected for high wear resistance, stable load bearing and good dimensional control. Silicone is suitable for higher temperature, clean contact or non-stick surfaces. General rubber materials provide balanced elasticity, traction and cost performance for common conveying and pressing applications.
For custom rollers, it is better to confirm hardness, covering thickness, shaft structure, surface finish and installation conditions before production. This helps avoid early wear, slipping, deformation or unstable operation after installation.
